Holly Fulton Fall 2011 RTW

Holly Fulton first stood out for her Art Deco influenced large graphic prints, embracing with bright colours such as, orange, yellow and torquise. However, in Fulton's latest Fall 2011 RTW collection she seems to have toned down on detail; replacing the all over large prints with the use of block colours along with a hint of detail coming from her statement jewllery. This collection shows us that Holly can produce outstanding collections not mainly focused on large print. I'm absolutely in love with this collection, my favourite piece has got to be the coat with disembodied lips sipping from the tower of the Empire State building, a lovely bit of wit there Fulton! Keep it up! I've always been a huge fan of Fulton's work, how she combines Art Deco architecture into her garments, as this is one of my favorite movements. Hopefully one day I can be a proud owner of one!

Fashion Week workshops at Oxford Circus

At the weekend I got the chance to go down to London and experience a fashion drawing master class curated by the Design Museum and in collaboration with artist Howard Tangye. I sat in the front row amazed by Tangye’s softness and detailed painting skills. Other workshops being shown are; a makeup master class and a live Q&A with David Koma and Melanie Ricky, which unfortunately I won’t be able to attend.  I think that Topshop have found a great impact by hosting these wonderful live workshops in their Oxford Circus store, allowing outsiders to get a taste of London Fashion Week, enticing shoppers to gain a greater interest in the world of fashion.

Who I am.

I have always been inspired and passionate about fashion, along with the Art & Design world; gaining myself a BTEC National Diploma in Art & Design at College. Now I've moved on to focusing mainly on Fashion Communication at Liverpool John Moores University. The aspects of Fashion that interest me the most are; Buying, Styling, the History of Fashion and Photography. Hopefully at the end of my course I'll archieve going on to work in one of these fields. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=458164754784&set=a.442907129784.207680.513944784#!/profile.php?id=513944784
